SPWR adds 330 MW Solar Cell Capacity

July 28th, 2007 · 3 Comments

SunPower Corporation (SPWR) is increasing its solar cell fabrication capacity from 200 MW to an additional 330 MW. SPWR specializes in high efficiency crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells. The added manufacturing capacity should continue to lower the cost of delivering solar energy to homes and businesses.

Love the links, Energy Planet, renewable energy directory very useful.
The information offered here is fabulous. The time is now, now more than ever to move away from traditional forms of energy sources (ie petro based). Alternative energy benefits everyone and solar energy for home or business will reduce overall expenses for heating/cooling and lighting. The costs for implementing solar energy are considerably less than than were 10 to 20 years ago and as technology for this takes quatum leaps and fuel costs takes quantum price hikes I can see how a return of investment for any install or modification for solar will be quickly realized.

Excellent site that provides valuable information on alternative energy. I am wondering if there is additional information on solar applications for townhouse/condominium living.
